Apologies and Updates

I have been slow to update for awhile, and I apologize for that. For the past couple of weeks I have been focusing on finishing up the work at my summer job and exploring my options. I appreciate the advice from the comments in my previous post.

There is a chance that I might be able to get a job starting in September. I don't want to get my hopes up, but it is a possibility. It's a little scary because previously the idea of dropping out of law school was a pipe dream. But the only reason I didn't take it seriously is because I thought there was no chance I would get a full time job. If I get a job, I will have a big and scary decision to make.

I realize I could be getting ahead of myself. But here's hoping. Regardless of what happens with this job situation, I plan on spreading the anti-lawschool gossip to anyone who will listen!

  1. If you really want the job, then I hope you get it. In the last analysis, we need to pay bills, eat, and have some shelter. Schools "broaden the mind" - while sinking you with large amounts of non-dischargeable debt. They do not really prepare one for the work world.

  2. I hope you get the job, too. Even one less year of student debt makes a huge difference in monthly loan payments.

  3. I just dropped out after my first year at a TTT. I feel like I got my soul back. Best of luck to you.

    Commentator AJ said it succinctly.

  4. I'm a TTTT drop out after 1L - took a great job with the gov't and am very happy! Best of luck.

  5. NO WAY ABA! STRIP THE ABA OF IT ACCREDITOR STATUS! STOP THE OVERSUPPLY OF LAWYERS! http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001885560184#!/pages/NO-WAY-ABA/157102307664191?v=info

  6. Thank you so much for your blog.

I have a decent undergrad GPA, don't know the next move, and somebody said "hey, you should go to law school." I went to the pre-law events, and almost signed up for the LSAT. With a lot of effort, I could've gotten into my big state school saddled with $90,000 in debt.

I feel like someone who was just rescued from a cult, or pushed out of a train's path.

I can't believe this is whole thing is legal.

Anyway, thank you, thank you, and best of luck on your job offer.
